The 500-room Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront Resort caters mainly to vacationers and has accommodation for long-term guests as well as those seeking a weekend getaway. Items included with the room rate at this two-story pet-friendly resort are non-motorized water sports, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and parking. The hotel has ocean suites with panoramic views of the Atlantic and kids’ suites which feature a bunk bed, a single bed, television and a pay-per-play game system. The resort is seven miles from the cruise ships docks at Port Canaveral and 17 miles from the Kennedy Space Center.

The only reason this hotel gets the 50-50 rating and not the NO rating is thanks to its oceanfront location and an attempt by many staff members to do a good job under difficult circumstances. Most travelers who have stayed here say the property is dire in need of renovations. Words like seedy, dirty, disappointing and dreadful appeared in many reviews.
