Overall the hotel was very nice. It offered a pool, gym and a place to do laundry. A person could also cook in the room.

The hotel was new. The accommodations were comfortable.

The room was a little warm because of the cooling system.

It is a very nice hotel with a great centralized location. While there is not a restaurant, the rooms have kitchens. We however only spent one night and did not intend to cook.

Great location to get around the entire Tampa Bay area.

No restaurant or continental breakfast.

The room was small in an industrial area. Kitchenette at best. Room was 10x10 no second room/living room area/sofa area.

Items included with the room rate at this three-story hotel are high-speed Internet access, laundry facilities, local telephone calls, in-room coffee and parking. The property is a short drive to either Tampa International Airport or the St. Petersburg Clearwater Airport. Area landmarks and attractions include Busch Gardens, the Adventure Island amusement park, the home stadiums of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays, the Salvador Dali Museum, the Lowry Park Zoo and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium which is 12 miles from the hotel.

Not everyone was happy with their stay at this Candlewood Suites in Clearwater. There were complaints about poor housekeeping and the need for more updating. We still allow the property a YES rating because there many visitors who had a good time here and were impressed with the suites and the friendly and efficient service they received from the front desk. Those who used the fitness center said it was well equipped and they liked the location close to the Gulf of Mexico beaches.
