The pet-friendly Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach is the closest all-suites hotel to the Kennedy Space Center. The 150 suites at this four-story, non-smoking property include separate living, eating and sleeping areas. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a social on Tuesday through Thursday evenings with hot snacks, wine and beer, high-speed Internet access, parking, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There are two meeting rooms for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 60 guests. Landmarks and attractions close to the property include Cocoa Beach, the Brevard Zoo, the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center, Astronaut Hall of Fame and shopping at Cocoa Village. Port Canaveral is less than one mile away and the hotel operates a shuttle at a cost of $5 round trip.

Many travelers consider this to be one of the best Residence Inns with spacious suites, a great location close to the Kennedy Space Center, and a crew of employees that was both friendly and efficient. Several guests said that they had a problem here when using Marriott Rewards points. The solution is to have a printout of the rewards certificate when you check in. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with conventional and microwave oven, stove, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. This inn has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. Breakfast is the only meal served here but the inn does offer a grocery shopping service and has a list of restaurants that will deliver. There are numerous places to eat nearby including Coconuts on the Beach, Bernard’s Surf and the Florida Seafood Bar and Grill. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, full service business center, an ATM, valet dry-cleaning, a picnic area with a barbecue grill and a newsstand and gift shop.

From Melbourne Regional Airport (MLB) 27 miles: After leaving the airport turn left onto Apollo Boulevard. Turn slight right onto Sarno Road. Turn left onto Harbor City Boulevard (US 1). Continue on US 1 for 5.9 miles. Turn right onto Pineda Causeway (FL-404). Go four miles and turn left onto FL A1A. Continue for 13.1 miles and turn left at the Residence Inn.
