The 155-room Holiday Inn Express Suites West was built as a part of an RCI Gold Crown Resort complex and sits among sandy beaches and waterways. The four-story, non-smoking hotel caters to families on vacation but has facilities equally suited to the business traveler. Items included with the room are a deluxe hot breakfast, transportation to the nearby theme parks, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and organized daily activities. There are two rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 150 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the De Soto Race Track, Parker Manatee Aquarium, Bishop Planetarium, the JP Igloo Ice Rink, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Kay and shopping at the 100 stores at the Prime Outlets Mall.
