The 55-room Days Inn Alachua provides affordable newly renovated accommodation for business and leisure traveler in the Florida town of Alachua, a few miles north of Gainesville. Included with the room rate are high speed Internet access, parking, a continental breakfast and local telephone calls. The property is close to Interstate 75 and within easy driving distances of many area attractions including Holden Pond, Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, Lake Alto, Lake Kanahapa, Lake Santa Fe, Poe Springs and Melrose Boat Ramp. Alachua is noted for its picturesque Main Street straight out of the 50's with numerous small family owned shops.

Negative comments about faded furnishings and dated décor have stopped now that this Days Inn has been upgraded throughout. Families who stopped here on their way to and from the attractions oc central Florida noted that the rates were affordable and the swimming pool was a welcome treat after a day of driving in Florida’s sunshine. All rooms are air conditioned and there is a choice of two double beds or one king size bed. There are also rooms with three double beds for families. Amenities include high speed Internet access, hairdryer, micro fridge, coffeemaker, 25- inch remote controlled television with cable movie channels and IDD telephone.

The reception area also has information on local attractions and golf and tennis facilities available nearby. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several places to eat close by including a KFC, McDonalds and a Pizza Hut. The motel is close to Plantation Oaks Golf and Country Club, open to non-members for golf and well known locally for its Sunday brunch.
