The 75-room Courtyard by Marriott Wilmington/Brandywine is located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley providing reasonably priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The three story, non-smoking hotel is within a short drive of three golf courses and close to Longwood Gardens, the Winterthur Museum, and the Brandywine River Museum. The property has one meeting for social or business functions that can accommodate 45 guests. Tax-free shopping is available less than a mile from the hotel at Concord Mall and the Brandywine Town Center. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7.

This Courtyard has renovated its rooms – but it has come too late for some clients who say they are now looking elsewhere for accommodation. The hotel gets a YES rating thanks to its efficient staff, reasonable prices and the fact that the AAA gives it a three-diamond rating. All the guestrooms, and three suites, have a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, microwave oven, refrigerator, dual line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, coffee and tea making facilities, cable television with cable movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock and a hairdryer.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. . The Courtyard Café is only open for breakfast but there are several places to eat nearby including Lone Star Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and TGI Fridays. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel, and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, a copy and fax machines for guest use, vending machines, an airline reservation desk and a dry cleaning service.
