It was a very nice hotel. I would go there again. There was no dining, except $ breakfast, but it is within a couple miles of many restaurants. The beds weren't the best but for a night, ok. The hot tub was cold. Pool was warmer.

I liked that it had a grill area.

I did not like that there was no dining/bar.

We were in Walling ford for a quick over night to watch a hockey game in nearby Cromwell. We had 2 double comfortable beds. This is a 3 story hotel. 2nd & 3rd floors all offer balconies. Plenty of work space. Just down the road was some shopping centers and many restaurants. Chef's--a huge cooking store is about 10 minutes away. Although we arrived about an hour before check-in, front desk was very helpful in finding us a room that was available. There is a large open lobby with plenty of spots to get together (if you're traveling with a group). I thought it was a nice touch to have a microwave available to the guests. This was located in the business center. Coffee was available all day.

Convenient to I91.

Internet wasn't wireless.

The Courtyard Marriott Wallingford is a fantastic place to stay when you're visiting the Wallingford, Connecticut area. If you're on your way to Masquamaquet Beach this hotel is just 50 miles away. In the area are plenty of Golf Courses, including the Lyman Orchards Golf Course, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, and the Wallingford Country Club. Tere are many attractions and landmarks nearby, including the campus of Yale University, Choate Rosemary Hall/ Paul Mellon Theatre, the Chevrolet Theater, Lake Compounce, the campus of Wesleyan University, Lyman Orchards, Mystic Seaport, Hubbard Park, and the enormous Foxwoods Casino Resort. There are plenty of recreational resources in the area, including a bicycle trail, a bowling alley, hiking trails, jet-skiing, a nature preserve, miniature golf, rock climbing, tennis courts, water skiing and snow skiing.

I would definitely recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Wallingford in Wallingford, Connecticut. Online reviewers had plenty of good things to say about this location. Most of the guests though they received an excellent value for their dollar and were extremely happy with the level of hospitality and service given by the staff. One guest was upset because the breakfast buffet isn't complimentary. Another guest was upset because his credit card was charged $250 for smoking in his room, which guest claims wasn't true. Management hasn't responded to either of these reports. Most guests were pleased and many stated that they would return to the Courtyard by Marriott Wallingford.
