The staff was so helpful. They let us park our car in the lot until we returned from NYC. They took our bags up on the elevator, because it was not on the first floor. Nice rooms, great breakfast.

Hotel was very satisfying for my short stay, and I will all ways consider this hotel on future trips to the Stamford area.

Was very convenient to my travel plans in and around the metropolitan New York area.

I can't put my fingers on any particular issues at this time, as my stay was only one night.

The 158-room La Quinta Inn and Suites Stamford provides economically priced accommodation equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. The pet-friendly, multi-story hotel has easy access to I-95 and is one mile from downtown Stamford. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and parking. The hotel has non-smoking rooms available and rooms designed for the physically impaired. Nearby landmarks and attractions include the Stamford Center for the Arts, the Rye Playground amusement park, Stamford Town Center Shopping Mall, the Maritime Museum and New York City.

This hotel was formerly the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. It did not get any rave reviews then and sadly, it does not get any now. The reason it gets a YES rating is the rates are reasonable for the area, the rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfast is of a good standard. Those who have stayed here say there is limited housekeeping and if you need any help after 5pm you have to check with the front desk. Words of warning from former guests: The hotel does not have good access to the public transit systems. A car is a must, unless you are prepared to pay for taxis.
