I would recommend the Stamford Marriott! It has a great location near I-95 and a mall, a fun pool with snack bar and decent rooms with great beds.

Location, pool, parking, lobby store with Starbucks, and prompt delivery of two cribs for our one room

The people in any company make the difference and the people here did not live up to the Marriott standard. Someone promised to take care of a problem for me and several days later I had to call the hotel manager to have him take care of it. Won't stay here again.

Atmosphere and location was great.

Customer service was poor, I asked for a wakeup call but did not get one. The room was to cold.

The 501-room, pet-friendly Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for business travelers and families on vacation. The 16-story, non-smoking hotel is in the center of downtown, close to I-95 and across the street from the Stamford Town Center Mall. The property has a full service spa on-site as well as a comedy club theater. Items included with the room rate are local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee, and a morning newspaper. There are 28 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 1,000 guests. Nearby attractions include the Palace Theater, Stamford Center for the Arts, the Rich Forum and the Maritime Museum.

This is a magnificent Marriott according to most of its recent guests. The newly renovated rooms, upmarket spa and super service make this a great place to stay in Stamford. Those who paid top dollar for their rooms said it was money well spent and they plan to stay at this hotel the next time they are in town. Several couples used this as a base for trip into New York and said that it worked well. The train trip into Manhattan took 40 minutes and after a day of sightseeing and shopping, it was great to relax in this hotel.
