It was perfect for what we were looking for. It was near the Bushnell and had a restaurant. There is an indoor pool and a lounge available. Rooms were comfortable and the elevators were quick. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Food was fantastic. I would stay here again.

In general, the facility was good. However, too many services are charged separately. I felt pressure whenever I wanted to use something (TV, internet, etc.) Especially, I was shocked that there was no free parking. The hotel was attached to a giant parking lot. They should have arranged something so that the hotel guest may get full reimbursement (better if no charge in the first place). Another thing - there's no refrigerator in the room.

Very lovely rooms, great pool, fitness room and spa with wonderful view of Hartford. Very accomodating staff - I left important documents in the room which they found and faxed to me at my request the next day.

Very accomodating staff. Location somewhat isolated in convention center.

Parking garage gouges you - very unaccomodating.

The 409-room Hartford Marriott Downtown is a full-service hotel towering 22 stories above the Connecticut River. The non-smoking property is connected to the Connecticut Convention Center and provides luxury accommodation for the upmarket business and leisure traveler. There are 13 meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest, the Marriott Ballroom can accommodate 850 guests. Nearby attractions include the State Capitol, Front Street, Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art and the Old State House. The property has easy access to the Interstate system making it an easy drive to five golf courses. Nearby landmarks include Gillette Castle, the Mark Twain House and Museum and Foxwoods Casino.

Words like wonderful, beautiful and awesome appear in reviews about this magical Marriott. This is the latest luxury hotel in the city and those who have stayed here are very impressed. The rooms are spacious, the staff is superb and the Italian specialty dishes perfecto! There were some complaints about the high cost of parking and that there was only one computer in the lobby available for guest use. Despite that, most clients plan to use this hotel on future visits to Hartford and they have no problem in recommending the hotel to other travelers.
