The 120 all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford Downtown is the city’s premier extended stay hotel equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The eight-story, pet-friendly property is within walking distance of the Connecticut Convention Center, Wadsworth Athenaeum and the Bushnell and Hartford Civic Center. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception on midweek evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The inn has 1,600 square-feet of meeting space for business or social functions. The property has easy access to the Interstate state system making it an easy drive to five golf courses. Nearby landmarks include Gillette Castle, the Mark Twain House and Museum and Foxwoods Casino.

For many travelers this is the one and only place to stay in downtown Hartford. The staff and management get many complements for their hard work in insuring all guests have a pleasant stay. Many enjoyed the restaurant, bar and comedy club which share the same building. The free breakfast was more than most guests expected and everyone was impressed by the spaciousness of the accommodation. The inn gets many repeat customers and that is a great recommendation. All of the one and two bedroom suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.
