The hotel was very nice. I asked for a quiet room and they gave us a room that backed up to the interstate highway and was very noisy. After persisting we be moved, they finally moved us to a quiet room. The girl at the reception desk told me at first she couldn't move us. So when I asked to speak with the Manager, she suddenly found a quiet room. Some of the rooms have fireplaces, so request one if you are interested in having one.

It has a wonderful steakhouse next door. Hotel was clean and nice.

There were very few restaurants and no shopping near the hotel.

The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Danbury consists of 78 one and two-bedroom suites ideally suited to the long-stay business traveler or families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is close to the offices of Pepsico, GE Capital, IBM, Boehringer Ingelheim, Honeywell and Amphenol. Items included with the room rates are a hot breakfast buffet, a managers reception on Monday though Thursday evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, coffee available in the lobby 24/7 and a copy of USA Today. There is one room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 14 guests. Landmarks nearby include Western Connecticut State University, Charles Ives Center, O'Neill Center, Brewster Sports Center and the Brewster Ice Arena.

Former visitors to this Residence Inn said the suites were spacious, the beds very comfortable and the rates reasonable. Many enjoyed the mid-week social get-togethers when they traded tales with fellow travelers. The employees were praised for being happy, helpful, and tackling problems promptly. Several guests said the breakfast buffet which was free compared favorably to those at full-service hotels where you were charged.
