The location was wonderful. Hated paying surcharges to use the phone for local calls. Would use again!!!

These condo's are well worth the money and time. Black Bear is where I have stayed the last two years. It is overlooking the village with a winter wonderland view. If your not into skiing or boarding, I would look for another hotel.

1: No handycap activities whatsoever. 2: Tubing only wednesday through saturday(Possibility for handicaped). 3: Snowcat sightseeing only at end of day. 4: Services marginal at best. 5: Onsite groceries and liquer overpriced, overated and lack of choices. All said on a 1 to 10 this village scores a 5.

Was a very plesant village liked how close we were to the slopes. The rooms were smaller than expected. Also not very good hotel service
Happy Birthday - posted on 01/04/2006
I took my husband for a romantic weekend for his 38th birthday. It was so cozy in the condo while it snowed outside. We loved it and plan to return in the summer with our two boys. The only problem we had was at check in everyone at the front desk were in training. That was very minor, just a little annoying.

We loved the location! A 5 to 10 minute walk to the lifts and a couple minutes to the shopping. All the people are friendly, the restuarants and cafe's were excellent. The rooms had everything I'd need from silverware to cookware. The beds were too hard for all of us. We'd specified that one of our 2 bedrooms have 2 beds, but they both had one bed so one of our sons (6ft) had to sleep on the couch...but he said it was comfy enough. Great balcony and gas fireplace. Make sure you get the underground garage...well worth it! All in all, we'd go back again. Loved the trip.

We had a great summer vacation at River Run.The views and amenities are great. We biked and hiked, and enjoyed the coupon books that were given with the lodging.
Disappointed - posted on 03/23/2005
I was a little disappointed with our stay. After we checked in and went to our room we found out that they gave us the wrong room number. So we had to go back and find out our real room number. The employees blamed it on each other. Not professional at all. The next morning when I went to make coffee I realized there were no coffee filters. I called the help desk and they said someone would be right there with the filters. This was around 8:00 a.m. At 12:00 p.m. we received the coffee filters. That evening we locked both of our room keys in our room. Our fault, but this is when customer service would have been wonderful. I called the help desk and they said they would send someone over immediately. My three children, husband and I waited at least 45 minutes. I called the help desk 3 times and they assured me that someone was on there way. I never saw the person they sent. My husband was fed up and went in search of someone himeself. He found a maintenance man and this gentleman let us in. I spent over $1,000.00 on this trip and was really hoping for wonderful memories. Honestly, the rest of the trip was great. For the amount of money that I spent on our room though I expected a lot more. I hope my comments help.
