This hip, happening hotel is one of Lower Downtown Denver’s hottest spots. Formerly the Luna Hotel and before that the LoDo Inn, it was re-branded Jet in 2006 to reflect its contemporary décor and smart approach to operating a boutique hotel. The 19 spare rooms, all of them non-smoking, are sleek and comfortable. The tall, narrow former apartment building is located in the heart of LoDo, as the neighborhood is known, and just steps from nightclubs, galleries, boutiques, restaurants and entertainment venues including the Coors Field baseball stadium. The lobby doubles as a futuristic bar with a check-in desk tucked discreetly at the back. Guests walk by tall cocktail tables – overflowing with bar patrons many nights -- just to get to the reception desk.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Some nights it’s hard to tell if Jet is primarily a hotel or night club.
But for the young, the tolerant, the lively, this is a fun, funky hotel.
With the lobby doubling as a bar, just checking in can be a challenge, and checking out can feel like walking through a post-party frat house if the staff hasn’t kept up with the cleaning overnight. This is not a hotel for everyone, particularly those who want a calm, quiet spot or families (children are not allowed at Jet). Read our customer reviews?
Jet’s rooms are small compared to many other boutique hotels, but efficient. They’re decorated in a spare contemporary style with unique art prints, armories and flat screen televisions. Room amenities are not the standard hotel fare: French-plunge coffee pots instead of drip coffee makers, artsy insulated pitchers instead of ice buckets and a CD-player clock (with CD selection) instead of an alarm or clock radio. Some rooms have private balconies while others have jetted tubs. The one suite has a small kitchen with copper-topped table.
All guests receive a complimentary drink in the lobby/bar upon check-in. Continental breakfast is complimentary as is wireless internet access. Jet has one restaurant and two bars, plus a full fitness room and complete business center. Ask at reception about membership to the private club located in the basement.
