The pet-friendly TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver Downtown is a modern hotel built in the legendary A.B. Hirschfeld Press Building. The three-story, non-smoking property has 123 one and two bedroom suites with full kitchens and separate sleeping and living areas, ideally suited to the extended stay businessman or families on vacation. The hotel is located along Cherry Creek and just blocks from the Colorado State Capitol and Civic Center Park. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area landmarks and attractions include the Denver Convention Center, Coors Brewery, the U.S. Mint, Denver Zoo and the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

All the suites have a kitchen with a refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, conventional and microwave oven, stove, coffeemaker, toaster and cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with movie channels, pullout sofa bed, two-line telephone with voicemail, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.

The hotel has a fitness center and can arrange for meal deliveries from nearby restaurants. Places to eat within walking distance of the property include the Tuk Tuk Thai Grill, Sonoda’s Sushi Bar and Le Central. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area attractions and events. Other amenities include fax and copying services, a coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning and a limousine service.

From Denver Airport (DEN) 29 miles: Take Pena Boulevard to I-70 West. Take 1-70 West to 1-25 South. Exit at the 6th Avenue East exit. Proceed approximately two miles on 6th Avenue. After you pass the Denver Health Medical Center campus, turn left at Acoma. It is a small street sign. The hotel will be on your right in the former A.B. Hirschfeld Press building.
