This hotel on first appearance takes your breath away. It is very elegant and very beautiful. The lobby is fantastic, and when you first enter your room, it takes a moment to take in all the detail in the room. However, there is a word of caution here. Beneath the surface is a cash wringing machine out to take your money any way you can. Bottles of water on the counter (only $5 a bottle thank you), to the $10/night parking fee, to the overexpensive phone charges. (They tried to charge us $52 for three late night phone calls, even though the posted rate was 25 cents a minute. They tried to claim it was AT&T charges, but couldn't produce the charges for us when demanded). Also a word of warning about hotel front desk practice and leaving your credit card for "incidentals". The front desk pre-authorized over $85 in charges, and then denied doing so. This led to a big problem when checking out. My wife has worked front desks at many hotels and knows all about these tricks that hotels use to squeeze extra money out of people. So people, really watch your bill, as I figure most travelers are not aware of this little scam. The pool area is nice, but the indoor nature seems to echo all the noise that little children in a pool will make, so if noise of kids bothers you, don't use the pool. Also, the jacuzzi is got to be the smallest one I have ever seen at any hotel ever. It could not hold more than two adults at any time, it is absurd for such a nice hotel to have such an undersized jacuzzi. Again, if you were expecting to be able to relax after a hard day in the hot tub, forget it, there is no relaxing in their tub, it is just too small.
