Colorado Springs Hotel Guide Cheap Colorado Springs Hotels

Ideally situated at the foot of Pike's Peak, Colorado Springs is home to some of the most beautiful land the States has to offer. While here youll be able to explore its spectacular sites up close and personal all the while enjoying the hospitality, dining and city life Colorado Springs is known for.

If youre interested in exploring Colorados beauty more up close, go to the Cave of Winds and/or the Garden of Gods. Home to some of the best skiing, hiking and fishing sites around, theyre also a great place to do a little sightseeing. And when youve had your fill of natures beauty, make your way to one of the gift shops and pick up a souvenir. Youll be amazed at what you can all get.

For a bit of excitement, make your way to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. As Colorado's premier theme park spanning across 360 acres, this one-of-a-kind fun zone provides more than 20 rides, shows and other attractions for you to explore. An absolute must is the Suspension Bridge. Its the worlds highest, hanging at 1,053 feet. Youll see a spectacular view perched at that height. Another world highest is the Royal Rush Skycoaster, which zooms you to the edge of the park and back.

Seven Falls is known as the grandest mile of scenery in Colorado. And Colorado is filled with spectacular views. The one-mile drive winds along South Cheyenne Creek, which explains, in part why this stretch of Colorado is so well known. To get the best views of the falls, make your way to the Eagles Nest Observation platform, accessible by a mountain elevator located inside the mountain. Seven Falls is a stunning view of 181 feet of clear blue water that splits into seven distinct steps down a solid cliff of Pikes Peak granite. Beside these falls lies a 224-step stairway that leads you to such places as the Midnight Falls and Inspiration Point. Make sure you take your camera with you the view from here will take your breath away as will the 224-step stairway.

For an amazing experience, board the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Ride on a two-hour scenic train ride along the famous Denver and Rio Grande Western train line. Enjoy a gourmet lunch or dinner as you take in the beautiful scenery. On a nice day you can go up to one of the open-air observation cars for a spectacular view. And if you like a bit of intrigue, theres the Murder Mystery train that includes a four-course gourmet meal as well as a whodunit thriller.

Colorado Springs is filled with great ways to spend your days. What youll love most about it is the way its been able to mix city life with history and fantastic dining with glorious scenic beauty. Nothing in Colorado Springs just is. Everything is alive with the beauty that has made Colorado Springs so well loved.

Also, being in Colorado is not only about the amazing landscape, it is about experiencing the great outdoors. Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Canon and many other locations in and near Colorado Springs have great hiking trails. White water rafting and kayaking trips offer fun adventures as well. If you prefer people-watching rather than wild-life watching, then head downtown to see the interesting mix of people: conservative Christians (for example the Focus on the Family groups) alongside liberal CC college students (some you could call hippyish), alongside Fort Carson soldiers, Air Force Academy cadets, and Fort Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases personnel. Manitou Springs and the cog railroad are worth looking into.

You forgot about the North Pole! Families with kids would like that attraction! CS is a more worthy vacation site than this article lets on.
