Overall the hotel was nice, the price was good for the quality of the room.

Location convenience, close to the train station.

The pet-friendly Comfort Inn Canon City is adjacent to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad and provides economically priced accommodation for both the vacationer and the business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this 50-room, two-story motel are a deluxe continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a newspaper on weekday mornings, in-room coffee and parking. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 25 guests. The property is eight miles from the Fremont County Airport. Area landmarks and attractions include the world's highest suspension bridge, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, the white waters of the Arkansas River and the Dinosaur Depot Museum located in the Garden Park Fossil Area which is less than one mile away. The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey is three miles from the hotel.

Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?

This is not the most popular hotel in Canon City but we still give this Comfort Inn a YES rating. Several guests had a good time here but there were complaints from others that the property was old and housekeeping was not up to standard. Everyone liked the location, across from the railroad station and several guests said they would stay here again thanks to the reasonable prices. Others said they would spend more next time for a little better quality property.
