This is a beautiful hotel and exactly what you would imagine a ski lodge to be. There is a large common area in the lobby with a couple of large fireplaces that is very warm and inviting. It is one of the only resorts in this area that offers the ski-in gondola-out option. It's a bit spendy but this is a hotel you won't soon forget either. Read our customer reviews?

The Mountain Thunder Lodge is where modern and mountain connect. The accomidations at the Mountain Thunder Lodge are second to none with their style and their design. There are one, two, three, and four bedroom suites and two and three bedroom townhomes available with fine furnishings and rich warm colors and fabrics.
Amenities offered
The amenities of this first rate hotel are second to none. At the top of the list are the ski-in gondola-out rooms that are available making your ski trip as easy and convenient as possible. There is private ski and bike storage, a full service reservations center and 24 hour guest service as well as a full concierge and activities desk that is open 24 hours a day. There is complimentary heated underground parking and curbside shuttle service and a year round heated outdoor pool and poolhouse as well as hot tubs and state of the art fitness facilities. There is DVD rental, laundry facilities on site and a childrens play area with BBQ grills.

To Breckenridge from Denver International Airport: Peña Boulevard (the airport's main exit) merges into Interstate 70 west. Take Interstate 70 west 85 miles to Frisco (Exit 203). Drive ¾ of the way around the roundabout and take Highway 9 through Frisco, then south nine miles to Breckenridge, where Highway 9, Main Street and North Park Avenue merge in another roundabout. Take the right exit before entering the roundabout onto Colorado Highway 9 South (which is also Park Avenue although there is no signage with that name.)
