Great time in Breck! - posted on 04/23/2007
Prime location right across from the Ski Lift and very close to downtown shops & restaurants. Nice, comfortable room with large bathroom. Very friendly, helpful staff & concierge.
cold shower - posted on 02/26/2007
I was unable to take a shower in the afternoon due to the fact that there was no hot water. I am aware that it was a busy ski weekend but there should have been enough hot water for all the rooms. It was very inconvenient, to say the least.
Excellent facilities, staff; decor needs facelift - posted on 01/28/2007
Only spent one night. Excellent selection of facilities - indoor/outdoor jacuzzis, pool, sauna, resto, bar, ski storage, indoor (free) parking, big rooms, very comfortable beds, great location -lift ticket booth 2 min walk - staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Downside: definitely in need of a facelift - decor a bit tired, walls and doors a bit nicked up, elevator scheme a little funny but no biggie (not an issue below 8th floor)

Service was outstanding, they have a shuttle service that will take you where you need to go, about two blocks from a ski lift,
It was okay, but not the best - posted on 12/20/2006
The elevator was very slow on our side of the hotel. It also broke the last day we were there. So, my husband had to carry the luggage down 6 flights of stairs. There should be a free continental breakfast for what we paid to stay there, but there wasn't, and we felt the breakfast buffet was a little expensive. Bathrooms need more light. We could barely see taking a shower. Garage needs more parking room. Other than those things the place was nice. But we will probably try to stay somewhere else the next time we go to to see what else there is.

Great hotel! We got there and they messed up on our room, however they promptly fixed it and even upgraded us for the confusion. The staff we found to be friendly and informative. No complaints, only kudos! I will be back!
Ok place but would not stay there again. - posted on 11/26/2006
There were a few things that would keep me from staying there again. The first being the elevator system, if you stay above the sixth floor you have to take two, possible three elevators to get to your room. When you check in you have to walk all the way to the other end of the hotel to get to the first elevator which you take to the sixth floor, then you have to walk all the way to the back of the hotel and catch the next elevator that goes up to the tenth floor.

This hotel is nice as it is pretty much right on the mountain. We got a free ride on the scenic lift, which was really gorgeous in the summer. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful.
Mountain View - posted on 05/01/2006
Ski run right across the street. Rooms have an excellent view of the mountains / ski lift. Free bus transportion to downtouwn Breckenridge right by the hotel. Very nice rooms. Rooms have books that give you tips on dealing with elevation sickness, list of area attactions, restaurants, shopping, etc. Overall, very nice.
GOOD NOT GREAT - posted on 03/18/2006
BAD NEWS: elevator scheme is WACKY. Parking is TIGHT. MURPHY BED IN A REGULAR ROOM WAS A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT! GOOD: The view. The Access to a lift for Breckenridge. Good breakfast in the lounge.
Good value, but noisy - posted on 01/09/2006
The rooms are cozy and clean. Staff is helpful. Ski rental and storage on site. Location is amazing - right across from the slopes and from a free shuttle stop, and a 5-10 minute walk to downtown. Plumbing had some issues (hard to regulate shower). Worst problem was the thin walls - they had booked busloads and teenagers and put them in rooms all around us.
Convenient Location - posted on 01/01/2006
Convenient location; walked to most activities. The rooms were quite spacious. Inconvenient "elevator transfers" are required for upper floors; elevators are small and slow. A shopping bag disappeared from the room, but when reported we were reimbursed the price of the contents. Though more expensive than we usually stay, given the convenient location it was worthwhile. Skip the restaurant though. Our grown children ate breakfast and found it "expensive and mediocre."

The hotel is perfect for active skiers and families. A free shuttle takes you to any breckenridge destination free. The walk to the slopes is across a parking lot (about 100 yards). Easy access. They hit you with an undisclosed parking fee for each night you stay-- $12, it should be disclosed at check-in, not check out.
Breathtaking - posted on 08/14/2005
Great location - right off the slopes. In summer great for hiking. The desk was at first reluctant to give us the "free scenic chair lift ride" as promised on printed receipt. After some discussion, they gave the voucher. Very small bathroom.
That's What I get - posted on 12/16/2004
Decided to try staying somewhere new, and Great Divide offered what sounded like a good deal. If I had only known! Dumb staff (they tried really hard), Bad view (heating ducts), dirty room, and they didn't deliver what was promised (a kitchen and DVD player). It took 5 days to get my money refunded after I checked out and went to the Wedgewood Lodge where I usually stay. Won't make this mistake again!
