Excellent people skills by almost all of the staff we encountered.

We had not counted on spending 12 dollars/day for parking when we were in a 21/2 star hotel.

The 467-room Marriott Torrance Redondo Beach is close to the Pacific Coast Highway and miles of pristine beaches, and provides luxury accommodation equally suited to the upmarket business or leisure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this 17-story, non-smoking hotel are in-room tea and coffee, shoeshine, a morning newspaper and local telephone calls. Travelers to Torrance loved this Marriott for its luxury rooms, great location near the beach and a huge shopping mall, and a crew of employees determined that everyone should have a good stay. Several business clients said they would be back with their families for a vacation. This is an expensive place to stay when you add the extras like parking, breakfast and Internet access. But quality, unfortunately, does not come cheap!
