What a gem! - posted on 04/04/2007
We stayed with our 4 dogs. Best dog friendly hotel to date ? flat fee deposit. Right on the sandy beach of Tahoe ? loved the fireplace in the room. Bike trail runs in front of hotel & you?re close to everything for food like Safeway across the street. In fact we?re returning again (04/07) for 3-days. Staff was wonderful and allowed us to check out late.

We had stayed here before this trip and loved it. This time our room opened up onto the beach, with the most magnificent view of the lake. Room is nice, fireplace is always a plus!

Enjoyed our stay. Only problem was that the connecting room was too small that had the sofa bed.

The room was incredible, the setting uncomparable - the price wonderful. The entire facility is in near perfect repair, very well designed and decorated. The fireplace and plasma TV paired with the entire furnishings and terraces with chairs, made me feel like I was in an upscale cabin. A quick walk through the courtyard (pool, spa area) brings you to the lake shore. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great Place!!!

The hotel location was great. We were 5 minutes from Heavenly ski resort. The room was a little small. The shower head was too low. They did not have internet access in the room. For the money it was what we needed. I would stay here again.

The rooms were pleasantly cozy with an adorable fireplace and great views! Easy access to BlueGo shuttle and minutes from casinos and slopes- you don't need a car! Dining and spa products and staff were wonderful! Front desk staff was worthless- ask someone else for help.
Cramped but beautiful - posted on 10/12/2005
The lake front rooms had a wonderful view, but the rooms were a little cramped and the whole place seemed a bit crowded. If you have the extra money, go for a place with a little more privacy.

The hotel is located in the shores of South Lake Tahoe and steps away from a marina which offers rentals of jet skis, boats, etc. Slightly more upscale than other Best Westerns, the hotel seemed new and well cared-for.

The location in the summer is wonderful! Right next to the water and the view from the dock is great too. Breakfast was a little chinzy, but it held us over until lunch. Housekeeping was understaffed and overworked. We had to call twice just to get towel and coffee service replenished. There weren't any instructions on how to use the fireplace. Well kept grounds and the beds were good. Make sure you know the difference in the type of rooms available...some have water views and balconies.

Location was nice, on the beach, with boating, swimming, a long pier and a restraunt. Our room out of the way, far from the beach and the elevator and on the third floor. Room was facing a dumpster from the business next door. Stinky!

This hotel is in a great location. The room was small but the decor and view were great. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. We would definitely return and recommend to others.
