At the base of the world-renowned Heavenly Gondola, the Marriott is at the perfect spot to hit the slopes or take in the fabulous scenery. Lake Tahoe is a year-round destination with all-season activities including hiking, swimming, skiing, snowboarding,, boating, fishing, camping and more. Lake Tahoe sits on the border of California and Nevada, so not only is this hotel close to Heavenly Valley, but it's also near Incline Village, Reno, Gardnerville, Genoa, and Carson City, the capitol of Nevada.

Online reviewers enjoyed the clean rooms and friendly service at the Marriott's Timber Lodge at Lake Tahoe. Most were forgiving when it came to construction dust, and were pleased that it didn't seem to interfere with their stay. Many reviewers were also pleased with the location, that enabled them to walk to nearby hiking trails and little downtown shopping areas. The Marriott Timber Lodge offers luxury Guest rooms, from 1-3 bedrooms and sleeping up to ten people in their 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom villas. Many rooms offer fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, DVD players and laundry machines. Guest rooms offer king bed, queen sleeper sofa, mini-fridge and microwaves. All villas feature Revive bedding from Marriott, including down comforters, designer duvets and fluffier pillows.
