Trailer park or hotel? - posted on 09/02/2006

Dirty, tattered, old. Not recommended. I mean, everything was bad. Want an iron / ironing board...you can "borrow" one for 2 hours. Nice.

good for the $ - posted on 08/19/2006

Nothing fantastic here but a clean, quiet room at a fair price. If you just need a comfortable place to sleep and hang your clothes while in town this is a good deal. We'll be back.

Old, but clean - posted on 07/21/2006

This hotel was old and the blanket on the bed was old and matted, but the rooms looked freshly painted and everything else seemed clean. Very basic, and small, but an OK deal compared to the costs of some of the other places in town.

Worst hotel stay ever - posted on 07/17/2006

Room was dirty, linens scratchy and stunk like bleach, bed was falling apart. We drove home at midnight because we were so uncomfortable.

Nice Find! - posted on 07/13/2006

We usually stay at the Embassy (which is about 2 blocks away), but decided to try one of the motels on the California side of Stateline nearer to the lake. What we found was an excellent buy! The rooms were impeccably clean, the pool was as nice as the Embassy's and we were given a pass for a beautiful beach within a short walk from the motel. I actually enjoyed the look of this area. It is like a trip back to 1950's Americana.

Very Thin Walls - posted on 06/30/2006

The wireless internet is only in the front office. The walls are very thin. The pool is not heated. Private beach is nice. Breakfast is only doughnuts.

Good price, clean room. no frills. - posted on 06/25/2006

This is a pretty basic hotel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were reasonably comfortable. No surprises. Free high-speed wireless internet in the room. Decor could use updating. The walls are on the thin side, we could hear our neighbors talking in the next room. For an inexpensive stay in South Lake Tahoe, this was a great place, very good location, easy walk to the casinos in Stateline, to a nice beach on Lake Tahoe (the hotel provides a free beach pass) and to the Heavenly Gondola. It's not fancy, but it is adequate and good for the price.

Room for improvement - posted on 06/13/2006

First, the front office lady gave me wrong keys. Second, the "right" opened the room but it was already occupied. So the lady gave me a different room. This room was not clean: the part of the toilet between toilet seat and tank looked dirty. And we could hear traffic noise while sleeping.

Luxery - posted on 04/25/2006

Hotel was so nice and had everything. Room was luxery but quite small. It was so complicated between West and East Wings.

OK for money - posted on 03/16/2006

This place was ok for the money. The rooms were adequate, not realy clean but served the purpose of a cheap, close to attractions, room. Dont be fooled by pic on web-site, place looks nothing like picture. Also only internet connection available was dial-up.

Best Tahoe West Inn - posted on 08/16/2005

The hotel was very reasonably priced, adequate for our needs, in a good location, (close to main part of town, casinos, beach, etc. ) relatively quiet, and in a nice setting. We were able to check in early. The pool and spa were good.

Cheap & Easy - posted on 07/28/2005

I was just looking for a place to stay for the night and this motel served that purpose. My girlfriend and I stayed for the night for a wedding and we had no problems. The room was nice and clean. It was inexpensive and within walking distance to the casinos. I would go back.

Not too bad.. - posted on 03/27/2005

This place is great for the skier/boarder who has a budget in mind. Just a short walk from the Heavenly gondola and casinos. Rooms were clean and in good order. Hot tub was good after a day on the mountain. No complaints.
