A very nice property, far enough from the freeway to be quiet. Large room, very comfortable beds, sliding glass door for lots of fresh air. Everything in the room and in the hotel seemed brand-new and in excellent condition. Definitely an excellent hotel.

After staying at another hotel in the same area for two nights with a horrible experience, the Marriott in Santa Clara was heaven. Beautiful, contemporary rooms with large TV and granite throughout, just lovely and a good end to our mini vacation.

Contemporary clean quiet beautiful linens and art everything A+.

One tiny thing - toilet paper holder put in odd location.

The 748-room Marriott Santa Clara-Silicon Valley is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, minutes from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport and 45 minutes from San Francisco. The pet-friendly, non-smoking hotel has facilities to suit both the business and leisure traveler. The hotel has 24 newly renovated meeting rooms for business and social functions. The largest, the California Ballroom, can accommodate 1,200 guests. The 14-story hotel has a sports court, tennis courts and is within easy driving distance of five golf courses. Nearby landmarks and attractions include Californias Great America Theme Park, the Santa Clara Convention Center, the Shoreline Amphitheater, Stanford University and Great Mall of the Bay Area.

Sadly, this Marriott property does not rate as the best in California. Former guests say the rooms are not that spacious but they are well decorated and the beds comfortable. Words of warning from those who have stayed here: The extras can mount up. There is a $9.95 daily charge for Internet access and valet parking costs $18 a day. Marriott Rewards members keep returning to this property, so the hotel must be doing something right to attract that repeat business.
