My review is more about particular staff members who arranged tickets to a show we had wanted to see. They also had Champaign waiting in the room for our Anniversary. That seemed above and beyond for the type of hotel it was. They were a great welcome to Santa Barbara.

The cleanliness, extra pillows in room, the staff's genuine interest in guests.

Barbara

Appearance was immediately appealing, staff was courteous, room clean and well kept. The layout with the courtyards made it private and romantic and yet was close to shopping and all other facilities. Restaurant on premises was convenient and food was good. Everyone was very accommodating.

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it was clean. Otherwise, it did not meet my expectations. This hotel advertised as having hob. It did not. There did not even seem to be pay-per-view movies. I would have been just as happy with a room at a nearby motel.

The hotel was easy to find. The room was clean.

This hotel was overpriced for the accommodations provided.

The Best Western Pepper Tree Inn, Spanish-style building, is located next to La Cumbre, an open-air shopping venue consisting for over 100 shops. Nearby places of interest include 18-hole Santa Barbara Golf Course, Earl Warren Show Grounds, eateries, shops and sandy beaches. The inn offers audio / visual equipment, photocopy and fax service and data ports for added convenience. Parking, high-speed Internet, newspaper, local calls under 30 minutes and shuttle service to airport, bus station and train station are complimentary. The Best Western also provides candies, cookies and fresh fruits in all guest rooms.

This centrally located inn has AAA-3 Diamonds rating. Many travelers were happy with spacious clean rooms, well-maintained bathrooms, swimming pools, restaurant, beautiful grounds, free parking, price and helpful and courteous staff. However, tired rooms, sub-standard food at restaurant, stinking sheets, dated décor and high price were major concerns of some guests.
