The 506-room San Jose Marriott is directly connected to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price designed for the business traveler but with facilities equally suited to the vacationer. The 23-story, non-smoking hotel has 16 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the San Jose Ballroom, can accommodate 900 guests. The full-service hotel is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, downtown San Jose and three miles from San Jose International Airport. Area landmarks and attractions include numerous golf courses, The Tech Museum of Innovation, the Winchester Mystery House, local wineries, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium, Raging Waters theme park, the Great America Amusement Park and shopping at Santana Row and the Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Center.

Many guests rate this is a marvelous Marriott, bright and airy, with a team of professional and friendly employees eager to insure everyone enjoys their stay. This is a convention hotel and those who want a weekend getaway – when there are no conventions in town – said they got great rates and the hotel was less crowded. There were some minor gripes about the limited room service menu. Despite this most guests want to return to this hotel and have no problem in recommending the property to others. Marriott San Jose Accommodations

All the guestrooms, and 28 suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, in-room safe, coffee and tea making facilities, Internet browser television with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, wet bar, pullout sofa bed, iron and ironing board, alarm clock, bathrobes and a hairdryer. The bathrooms have a separate shower and tub.

The hotel’s Arcadia Steakhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Corner Market Kitchen is open throughout the day with lighter fare. Room service is available from 6am until 11pm. Restaurants nearby include Café Matisse, an upscale coffee house and Original Joe’s, an Italian restaurant. The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. Other amenities include a baby sitting service, concierge desk, an ATM, a full service business center, shoeshine stand, car rental desk, laundry and valet-dry cleaning and a gift shop and newsstand.

From San Jose Airport (SJC) 3 miles: Take Guadalupe Parkway (Highway 87) South. Exit at Park Avenue/San Carlos Street. Go east (left) on Park Avenue, then turn right on Market Street. The hotel is on the corner of Market and San Carlos.
