Mediocre accommodations with some rectifiable shortcomings. Location to convention center very good. Crowne Plaza not high on "return visit" list. Available dining options very limited and costly.

Bell Desk extremely helpful and pleasant!

Housekeeping staff shortage resulted in room not being prepared one day. Just skipped it. Hallway carpeting needs serious cleaning.

It is a nice hotel, but usually I stay up in the Mountain View area, so this was an inconvenient drive and I didn't request San Jose, so I'm not sure why I received it, except that travel was VERY heavy last week. The breakfast service was absent-minded, even for the buffet, I asked the waiter for cream for my coffee and it was another 5 minutes before it came, thereby keeping me from quaffing said beverage. This aspect of the hotel seemed out of sorts with the rest of the personnel and service I received, which I considered excellent.

Very personable front desk.

The breakfast service needs to be organized for faster service, even for the buffet.

The pet-friendly nine-story Crowne Plaza San Jose Downtown is three miles from the San Jose Airport and provides top quality accommodation equally suited to the upscale business or leisure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this 239-room, non-smoking hotel are a morning newspaper, local telephone calls and in-room coffee. There are five meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 540 guests. The property has easy access to all the major freeways and is close to the light rail and train stations. Area landmarks and attractions include the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, the Center for the Performing Arts, the Tech Museum of Innovation, Adobe headquarters, the Winchester Mystery House, and the HP Pavilion, formerly the San Jose Arena which is within walking distance of the hotel.

This is a great Crowne Plaza, within walking distance of many San Jose attractions that has spacious, well-equipped rooms with very comfortable firm beds. Thats the opinion of several guests who have stayed here and were much impressed by the top notch service they received from the talented and friendly team of employees. Business clients said the work desks were large with comfortable chairs and those who used the business center said it had a computer with good Internet access. Many visitors enjoyed dining at the nearby restaurants and had no problem recommending this hotel to fellow travelers.
