This is a very good choice for the solo business traveler doing business in San Jose. It's an older hotel that's been recently renovated. Located conveniently on N. 1st st, the Wyndahm is by no means a fancy hotel (I'd rate it 3-3.5 stars) but it is well-appointed and comfortable and has most of the basic ammenities you'd want for a business trip. Nice exercise room and outdoor pool too. If your business is only in-town, you might want to consider saving on a car rental and use the light rail system that's just outside the door. The food at the hotel seems OK, although a tad expensive and non-descript. Thankfully, there are several good restaurants nearby, including a Japanese steak house and a Moroccan place that's supposed to be top-rated. There's also a 24-hr 7-11 right next door if you are pulling an all-nighter and need some coffee to keep you going. About the only knock I have are that they still charge $10/day for Internet - sort of like charging extra for air conditioning in yolr room.
