Not the most beautiful building ever, but the room was clean and had all new furniture/appliances (including minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, cable, and wifi). As far as location goes, it is right in the center of everything without actually being close to anything. Main attractions are about 15 mins walk in whatever direction, not too bad if you don't mind the hills. Only complaints are that the wifi was weak at times (4th floor) and there was elevator issues. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends, you can't beat the price for the room

The rooms are nicely furnished. The beds are comfortable. The only concern with the hotel was parking. If you return very late in the evening there's no parking at the hotel.

Not expensive, great customer service, concierge service, well designed rooms, really nice!

Considering what I paid and had heard about similarly priced hotels in the area, I wasn't expecting much at all out of this hotel. However, once I arrived I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. All furniture looked brand new, beds were comfortable, shower had good water pressure, and refrigerator, coffee-pot, and microwave all looked new! Free parking and free wireless internet were also very nice perks! This is not by any means a fancy luxury hotel, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive place to stay!

This place was horrible, and unless mom's home cookin means sitting under the heat lamp overnight stay out of the restaurant. I would have rather slept under a bridge for $50. a night.
Not worth the money - posted on 10/20/2006
when i went into my room i wanted to cry. I had no curtains. No heating or AC instead i had a 5.00 Fan like that was going to do anything. The only thing the room had going for it was the view. The walls looked as if they were under construction. Not a good hotel at all..
Nice hotel for the Online price - posted on 10/02/2006
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Broadway Manor Inn. They didnt inform us that we would be needing a one hundred dollar deposit when you arrive so be aware of that and either have your credit card or cash handy. Noisy street kinda hard to sleep but very nice staff and room. I would stay there again in the future. They also offer FREE parking.

trying but not hard enough - posted on 07/12/2006
Had stayed here two years ago. Location is ideal and very affordable with free parking. Our room was in middle of remodeling and a total mess. Taped dropcloth on window. Beds messy--not sure if they were clean. Carpet filthy. Owners attitude was rude! When we asked that the air be left on in our room (smelly!!) we were told it is their policy to turn it off when guests are out for the day. would have preferred maids never entered. Won't be back at any price. Restaurant on the property (Peter D's is great!). Wait a while on this one for remodel to finish. It's a mess!!

over all, the hotel was a good bargain for the price. there was no smoking allowed in any of the rooms (which we didn't know until we already booked the room) and one of the men working at the front desk blatantly asked me out on a date when he knew i'd come with my boyfriend. the "do not disturb" sign means nothing at this hotel. the elevator is terrifying, makes loud grinding noises and will deffinately get your pulse racing if you need a thrill...

Walls were very thin making every noise outside very apparent, especially the busy street. Lots of teenaged kids drinking and partying. What you would expect at a cheap hotel. Looks like they are attempting to clean the place up as there is some work being done on some of the rooms. They need it.

The good and the bad - posted on 09/08/2005
Good: Roomy, microwave, frige, free parking, close to attractions. Bad: Sheets didn't feel clean, can hear outside traffic and other guests walking and talking in room, not enough hot water for shower.
Good Hotel In A Great But Noisy Location - posted on 05/20/2005
This hotel is better than its 1-star AAA rating suggests. It's old, and that shows, but it's also clean and fairly well-maintained. The rooms have more amenities than might be expected in a 1-star hotel: mini-refridgerator, microwave, iron and ironing board. The main drawback to this hotel is that its location, while surrounded by great restaurants and well-centered between Chinatown, Little Italy, Fisherman's Wharf and Japantown, is also at the intersection of 2 major, busy, very noisy streets. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

Clean room, friendly, helpful staff. Bus or walk anywhere. Needed extra blanket & pillow - provided immediately. No A.C., fans only ("They are renovating" = Don't try to sleep daytime.) Windows will open but no screens and so low someone could reach or climb in easily from balcony!) Traffic noises and other guests passing windows; thin walls. Lovely, clean room has separate dressing-vanity area aside from bathroom/bedroom. BIG mirror. Ironing board, t.v. Mattress somewhat thin and a bit bouncy. Stayed 7 nights. Very affordable. Recommend for students and low budgets.
Failed Expectations - posted on 05/03/2005
I was a little disappointed, the bedspread was terrible (dirty w/ burn holes). The room in general needs up dating, it was pretty ruff. We were unfortunately located on the Broadway street side, very noisy all night long, not only did we hear traffict but I could hear the person nextdoor snoring. Call the Motel and request a room away from the steet and non-smoking if you prefer. The bathroom wasn't too bad, a little mold but basically clean.

This was my first time here in San Francisco and I needed somewhere relatively inexpensive. Broadway Manor was that :o). The front desk person was helpful in giving me a map of the city so I can find my way around using public transportation. I would stay here again!
