The greeting by the bellmen who opened the cab doors as we pulled up was a cut above the norm and set a tone that caught our attention. This tone was maintained by the front desk and concierge staff, the entire service experience of staying at this hotel was unusually great. I travel over 100k miles a year and stay in a lot of hotels. Whatever training they are providing at the Argonaut is working and they are to be congratulated. I highly, highly recommend this hotel, the entire staff takes a lot of pride in their work and it shows.

The service was profoundly great.

This is a very nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. We opened the curtain to find a wall, which is okay since the place seemed great. However, they charged for everything! The paper, charged. Ride to/from airport? Charged. Use their computer to get boarding pass? Sure for a charge! Print it? Sure, for a price.

The Argonaut Hotel, located in the center of Fishermans Wharf, is an environment-friendly plush boutique property. Though the building architecture is old, facilities are contemporary. Highlights of the hotel, overlooking the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and San Francisco Bay, include breathtaking views of the bay, Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and the city skyline; front desk resembling a steamer trunk; wooden plank floors; and working astronomers clock. Guests can take advantage of complimentary yoga accessories, weekday newspaper and high-speed Internet; and safety deposit boxes for laptops. The Argonaut pampers little guests with special KimptonKids gifts.

This 100% smoke-free waterfront hotel welcomes your four-legged companions. All guests agreed that the location is unbeatable. Most of them were pleased with everything and would love to stay at the hotel again. They appreciated clean spacious well-appointed sleeping rooms, food, evening wine hour, service, and views. However, parking was very expensive; and a few visitors were also annoyed with poor customer service, restaurant, weak Internet signal, noise and views from the rooms.
