Reservations poor line always busy, Bad customer service, phone skills, front desk messy ugly not pleasant, radiator makes too much noise at night and morning.Sorry very bad hotel not recommended.

This hotel was a nice base to venture from. Close to trolly, Union Sq., dining, shopping, Chinatown. Old but nicely kept. Good continental bkfst. Staff friendly and helpful. *% hotel tax in the city!!! Ouch!

This is a great place to stay if you want to see San Fran. 1 1/2 blocks from trolley. BART just down the hill. Chinatown close bye. Nice breakfast included.

This hotel as first class service at the front desk with help with your luggage, arranging for overnight parking and front desk, depite the small lobby. The rooms are not luxurious but any strech but are comfortable and relativly quiet if you are not in a room over the street. The windows are not double pain and are as old as the hotel so they do not keep the noise out. The complimentary breakfast was great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is a few short blocks from union square and cable car line. Take in a dinner on Belden Place alley.

We stayed on a top floor in the rear. I was super noisy especially on trash morning. There was no way to turn down the heat in the rooms so it was constantly hot and miserable at night. Our room was small but ok for just 3 nights. The shower pooled up to your ankels, but at least it worked. Minibar & free breakfast were nice. Overall an ok place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay, they allowed pets and were super friendly. Our room was rather small, on the first floor and only had an ally view, it was hot in there, until we found a small fan in the closet. Over all a good experience.
