Very friendly staff. One incident though. We arrived in the early afternoon. Someone surprised us by opening our door to drop off a telephone book. We didn't let him in.

To get to this motel from the tourist part of SF we had to walk along Market St. which can be scary after dark. The Symphony, Opera and Civic Center are nice 'n' close though. The hotel itself was good--clean, great staff, a couple blocks from public transport, free breakfast of cold prepackaged muffins and such, great coffee, good size room, huge bathroom. The carpet looked clean but would turn bare feet black which was no big deal except we had our 11 mo. old son with us who played on the floor a lot. Great place for the money paid!
