Any complaints about this place from my point of view are real stretch. You'd have to be a spoiled little prince or princess to find fault with this place for the money. From the sense of humor of the late-night attendant lady, to the cleanliness of the room, all is tied together by the relatively safe neighborhood and the location within the city. We were lucky to be placed on the 4th floor, which faces somewhat northwest, and had a great view of the city. That meant stairs, and after about 5 miles of SF "hiking," made us whine a bit, but as I said, it's SF, you walk, you bus, you subway. That's the way of things. The air conditioning worked, the maids were friendly, and the pillows were heavenly. There was a young guy at the attached restaurant that was a bit hasty and rude as we walked in at 9:20 pm, that said they had finished seating already, closing at 10:00 pm. I think it was a "get out early and hit the clubs," evening for this guy. No sweat, delivery pizza it was. Parking is also limited, so plan your trips, or park and leave it. Don't hesitate to stay at this place. Well done, Days Inn on Grove!
Besides everything else, the centralized location is perhaps the best feature.
The stairs were a bit daunting, but heck, its SF legs are what you use.

The hotel room was very nice and very clean. The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful.
Near public transportation.
Walls are thin. Heard our loud neighbor.

The hotel can accommodate physically challenged guests. To warm up a quick meal, a microwave is provided in the lobby. The manager hosts a reception to which every guest is invited, being a nice opportunity to meet to fellow guests. Parking space provided is ample.

Visitors will find this hotel to be a great starting point for indulging in wonderful dining and ample shopping possiblities. Breakfast is nothing to write home about as choices are very simple and not too healthy or fresh. Accmmodations are quite spacious, bright and well looked after, as well as feature quality amenities. Walls however are pretty thin. The personnel at the front desk are well trained to help guests with problems and have a welcoming way about them.
