We enjoyed our stay. Great location and lovely decorated rooms
Great location! - posted on 07/05/2005
The rooms were extremely well kept although somewhat small. The airconditioner didn't work well and when we opened the windows there was alot of noise from the outside until late at night. The staff was not overly friendly, but the lobby with the fireplace and the wine reception in the evening was nice. Parking was 29$, and our car was placed in a city parking lot across the street that charged only 10$ per day. Walking distance to wharf and pier and cable cars.

When I checked in there were no "No Smoking" rooms available, which I had requested. I stayed in the Smoked In room that night and moved to another room the next day. They did give me a bottle of champagne and moved my luggage. The staff seemed to be overworked and it showed in the way they treated some of the guests and how they spoke on the phone. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

Not a bad place, expensive overall but this place was well located. Anyone with allergies may have a problem here as we had a room which must have had a dog in it.

I have stayed in the Tuscan Inn for 6 years and found every one of it's attributes to never vary. I feel like one of the family by now, am recognized and called by name, and am always warmly welcomed. The rooms around all four sides of the gorgeous atrium are way beyond praise, beauty and quiet! I'll forever be going back.

Had a great stay at the Tuscan Inn, a great location near Fisherman's Wharf, walked to Coit Tower, Chinatown and even to the ferry building downtown. Loved the free wine and pizza from 5-7 and free biscotti and coffee in the morning. The room was small but luxurious.

liked the friendliness, the coffee in the morning and the wine in the evening was welcome and warming. The baths however a little small and shallow. Staff very goodee

We spent a week here and loved it. It is across the street from much more costly hotels. You can walk to Wharfs and piers. This is the best place to stay. Free happy hour 5-6 every day!!
Dogs and kids at the Tuscan - posted on 01/01/2007
We stayed at the Tuscan with 2 dogs and 2 kids. Though the rooms were a bit small for all of us - they were very nice. The staff was fantastic and it was VERY pet friendly. We will definitely return!

We had a great time and the location was outstanding. The hotel staff was great and very informative with ideas about everything in San Francisco.
Best hotel on the wharf - posted on 08/11/2006
This was far superior to the Sheraton across the street, and it was less costly. Great Hotel- we would stay here again & again. PS. Get a Citypass- it is so convenient!

Good overall stay, after having to make multiple changes and requests! Booked a suite, promised quiet private room....Given room outside edge of building with window over a bus stop! We couldn't hear each other talk to each other over the noise! After being moved to another room...yea quiet but not a suite. It took 4 tries to speak with a manager to get the rate fixed to match the room. Positives: Wine Reception and Italian Restaurant attached to the hotel. Fair rates.

We needed to get away for a few days, so we booked a room for two nights in San Francisco. We stayed at the Best Western Tuscan Inn, 2 blocks from the Wharf! It was clean and very comfortable! The staff was great and knew where everything was! We will definately go back!

This hotel is in a great location and the staff was extremely friendly!! It's in Fisherman's Wharf and very close to restaurants and even has a grocery store right next door. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Will definitely stay here again when we return. Restaurant adjacent to hotel was only OK and overpriced compared to similar restaurants in the area that had better food. We only went there because the hotel recommended it, and we got a 10% discount if we were guests, but the waiter acted annoyed when we asked about the discount, we wouldn't eat there again.

This hotel was very clean, nice and very convenient to everything from Fisherman's Wharf, to the cable cars, etc. We walked everywhere. Every morning had coffee & cookies and in the evening had wine social hour with snacks. Pick this one!

Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. Located two blocks from the water made it easy to enjoy everthing at the wharf. The bay cruise is a must!

The location is nearly impossible to beat. Services were adequate and efficient. Hospitality was very good, not superb but darn near close. Cleanliness was very good but the shower was questionable. Pleasant experience and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a night and it was great, the bed was awesome and the bathroom was huge, they even had matching bathrobes. The only thiing wrong was the TV located in the bedroom was broke it only showed a line. But the TV located in the other part of the Suite worked fine. Would defintely stay here again.
