Cool Place to Stay - posted on 03/28/2007

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's over 100 years old and does have that old smell, but that also adds to it's quaint atmosphere. The Queen Anne has a pretty good location, as the MUNI bus stops very close by and the bus to Fisherman's Wharf is only 3 blocks away. Neighbourhood is safe, as we were out several nights and felt safe walking around. Rooms are clean and nicely laid out. Would definitly come back.

Fun Hotel - posted on 10/27/2006

We had the good fortune of staying in the Mary Lake Suite. This suite is haunted by Mary Lake. There was a ghost tour that would come through and take pictures of the door. These folks were very quiet and we didn't know they were there until we opened the door.

Wonderful hotel - posted on 10/07/2006

I stayed 5 nights and had a great time. The staff was really nice, and the decor was super nice. It made for some nice pictures, too!! Noise from the hallways was a bit loud if people were up late laughing and whatnot, but that's normal for any hotel.

Comfortable not fancy - posted on 09/17/2006

A few blocks from Japantown and decorated in a Victoria style, the building has survived time and earthquakes. Lots of woodwork, sense of history. Not right next to major attractions. Limited parking but limo holding four or five makes three trips each morning to your choice of destinations within city limits. Quiet neighborhood. Six blocks to Fillmore Ave shopping area. Friendly.

Better than expected! - posted on 08/23/2006

The breakfast in the morning was nice. The staff was friendly. Beds were very comfortable, & good water pressure in bathrooms. Ornate drapes in general population areas were very dusty. The elderly limo driver was sweet, but really should retire, as his driving skills were very scary.

Awesome Queen Anne - posted on 08/18/2006

We loved The Queen Anne. It's absolutely perfect! From the super friendly and helpful staff, to the gorgeous Victorian decor, to the cleanliness, to the super-central location just on the edge of Pacific Heights, everything was A++ (and we're super picky about everything, especially cleanliness!). Added bonuses are the generous and delicious continental breakfast, around-the-clock tea and coffee, fireplace and lounge in the lobby area, and complimentay sherry and cookies in the afternoon. This was quite possibly our best hotel experience ever. We can't wait to go back!

Friendly/Helpful Staff - posted on 07/03/2006

I found my stay at the Queen Anne very pleasant and I would definately stay there again. The shower needed a little work on but always plenty of hot water. Location was great and the neighborhood nice and safe. There is a ghost tour and Victorian Home tour that leaves from the hotel lobby (not associated with the hotel). The staff was always very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was great (free) and the afternoon tea and sherry was a great place to relax and meet other people staying at the hotel! No air conditioning but I never needed it in June.

Hotel Stay - posted on 12/22/2005

Although decorated very nicely for the holidays, one of the first things we noticed was the shabby appearance of the entry door, dirt under the edges of the concierge desk and dirt and dust on the folds of the velvety drapes throughout. Room decor is not very Victorian; it's more "eclectic" with funiture from various decades.

Spooky - posted on 12/05/2005

This is a great hotel to stay at during Halloween, it's said to have a haunted room upstairs and it was interesting to see the people who show up for the "ghost tours" in the Lobby. Great decor, keeping with the victorian feel

A Lovely Visit - posted on 07/30/2005

This was our second stay (previous 12/04) at the Queen Anne. We returned because of the location, ambience and lovely warmth of the staff. We found the breakfast to be very popular and the homey atmosphere of the public rooms to be vey inviting. The rooms were large, comfortable, and amenities pleasing. We will be back!!!!

Love this Place - posted on 02/07/2005

The decor is beautiful with all the antiques and victorian charm. Parking is the cheapest in SF. Conviently located to bus lines. The staff was delightful and helpful. The rooms facing Sutter are a little noisy. This hotel is centrally located in the city. We will book this hotel again.
