Customer Reviews for Hyatt Regency San Francisco

Great Location & Friendly Staff - posted on 07/10/2005

We were on our 30th anniversary and we're very impressed with the friendly staff, great location, and overall quality of the hotel. Our room was a bit on the small size but we had a good view of the bay. Found a special room rate and would return.

Location, Location, Location - posted on 11/30/2006

I've been to SF many times but this trip was the most enjoyable. The Hyatt is beautiful and located right across the Ferry Bldg and the BART. Our room was on the 17th floor w/ an amazing view of the Embarcadero and the Harbor. The only small gripe was the bathroom - looked dated but very clean. Highly recommend taking the ferry to Sausalito (gorgeous view of the city from there).

Everything was great - posted on 09/06/2006

On our arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful staff. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to help us with the various attractions. The room was great, had a wonderful view, and the room was very clean. On our next visit we will make plans to stay at the Hyatt Regency

Four Diamond Disappointment - posted on 08/30/2006

The location is fantastic, close to public transportation, the Port of San Francisco, etc. There is no need to have a car, as parking is very expensive. Our main complaint was about the water being shut off twice for several hours, as the hotel was upgrading its system. Our room, which we upgraded, was okay. The furnishings are showing their age and not what one would expect from a 4-diamond hotel. Staff were lax in picking up food trays left outside some of the rooms. We will probably stay somewhere else when we travel again to San Francisco.

A Pleasant Experience - posted on 01/10/2006

My husband and I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were pleasant, professional and accommodating, as were the concierge--who were able to make a dinner cruise for us with little advance time. The curb-side staff were excellent, too; upon our leaving, one of the staff provided us with a limo (for the same price as a taxi) back to the airport. A final coup! I also would like to mention that we went through Priceline.com and secured a great price for this hotel. Thank you all!

Nice Hotel! - posted on 07/18/2005

Lobby is beautiful, rooms were comfortable. Parking is too expensive for what you pay for a room.

Service staff's attitude was very poor, not very friendly, elevators are a nightmare

Not as nice as you would expect - posted on 04/14/2005

We were not thrilled with our stay at the Hyatt Embarcadero. Our room had a great view, but you had to stand at one side of the room to see it. The room was dated and the bathroom was awful. They only left us one towel and the bathtub was horrible. We asked for an upgrade to a better room with a nicer bath and were told that all the bathrooms in the hotel were the same! The only plus was the poximity to the very best Sushi restaurant in SF - Ozuma!

If you are at a confrence or convention, it is the only big reason you should especially go. I was there for a convention, so it Wasn't My Pick.
