We stayed at the Best Western Carriage Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel was very tastefully furnished and very clean and for the price was the best place we've stayed in Sasn Francisco. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was on ly two blocks away from BART and MUNI stations. The area was not too desireable but easily walked to nicer area. The Shuttle bus that is shared by three other hotels was a big plus to get to Union Square. We look forward to our next stay at this hotel.
charging and receipt - posted on 01/18/2007
Hotel was fine, but I do not like treatment of the booking by the agency. I was surprized and do not like the procedure, that my account was charged 4 weeks befor I actually used the hotel. The hotel was not able to give me a receipt and refered to the agency. Up to now I have no receipt from the agency on my billing.

The hotel was very nice, especially for the price. The location however was not very good. There are a lot of aggressive homeless, XXX stores, etc. The hotel provides a shuttle to Union square but wished it were more frequent, and could take you to BART station. The free continental breakfast was nice but needs a better variety or selection. Overall it was a nice hotel but next time I think I will opt for a better location.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and well kept. The hotel staff knew the area and made suggestions for restaurants and for getting around town on public transportation. The continental breakfast and paper each morning got the day off to a pleasant start. Will certainly stay there again.

Great little hotel with wonderful service, clean rooms and nice partnership with Best Western across the street to provide dining opportunities and shuttle service. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
