The Mother/Daughter Outing - posted on 08/16/2005
As a surprise for our daughter's her 18th birthday- Dad suggested we do a Mother /Daughter weekend- we just live 45 minutes from the hotel- It was great- we went shopping- all near by and did sightseeing-she really got a chance to see San Francisco in a way she had not seen before and I got a chance to see her in a different light- we are so much closer not- all because the beauty that the hotel beholds- the accomodation and the restaurant is fantastic- and is worth the cost.- We look forward to our next visit!!

I've stayed here 3 times. I learned a big lesson on the last trip. DON'T stay in a room off the "lower floor" elevators. These are old, stale and 1970's fixtures. All upper floor rooms I have stayed in were great though.

This hotel was very clean and the hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located to shopping, the BART, cable cars and taxis. However, "The View" bar at the top of the hotel really needs service improvement, which is a shame because it really does have a great view.

This htotel is in a great location. I took BART from the SFO. The ride was maybe 30 minutes and it only cost a little over 5 bucks. When I exited bart and walked up the stairs, I was right around the corner from the hotel. Not even a two minute walk. Union Square and trolley cars is maybe a 5 minute walk. There's a great casual dining located next door(bloomies). There's also a movie theatre and Jillians next door as well. I will definitely stay there again.
Nice, Quiet - posted on 04/28/2007
Mostly good. They did not replace coffee supplies sometimes. The bath had a little mildew or staining on the bottom, although it was clean. Room quiet and beds comfortable. Nicely furnished. The views were amazing. Reception and concierge very helpful.

Hotel Staff was very accomodating. Small issue with room charges (should have never happened) but was cleared up right away. The cable cars are close by which you can take down to Wharf. China town in walking distance. Had Deluxe City Room and view was great. Room slightly smaller than we are used to. Room Service food (pizza in particular) was not that great, but actual restaurants were very good. Go to The View if you can! Very friendly maid service who did a great job of cleaning room. Overall, hotel was what we had expected.

We stayed on the 28th floor in a corner room that provided wonderful views of the city. The room was clean and bathroom was very nice. The bed was top quality as were the linens. It's expensive, but if the company is paying it's only steps from the Moscone Center which is ideal. High speed Internet was great, although at $13 a night not exactly cheap. I hear the higher you stay the better. The views from the bar on the top floor are worth the $9 drinks if you sip slowly.

I loved my stay here. I traveled for work stayed on the 14th floor...ended up with a beautifull room with a view. My bed was so nice, Ilove my bed at home, but would take this one any day over mine. You have to check out the view from the top, it is great! Also perfect location. I highly recomend this location!

If you're used to Motel 6 the Marriott may be a step up. The rooms smell stale. It just seems OLD. The halls are dingy. I was there for a conference and all of us felt it was the worst hotel we'd stayed in for a while. If you're used to a nicer hotel, this isn't the one. Will never stay at a Marriott again.

Our entire weekend was a pleasant one, we had an easy check in and check out however we weren't expecting the over $90.00 bill for parking fees
