The hotel restaurant was fabulous and the service in it was excellent! Though the hotel itself is chic and hip, it did feel very friendly. It's so ultra cool that I felt it lacked "warmth". For the remainder of my business trip I stayed at the Holiday Inn On the Bay. What "HI" lacks in decor it makes up for in warmth and that is more important to me when I'm away from home for 5 days. As a business traveler, the work-related conveniences were great. I think it's the perfect t locale if you're into partying in the Gas lamp district and venturing out to all the fine dining establishments. But I just wanted a warm, friendly, quiet place to rest my head for the night and that, I did not get. Best regards.

Loved the guests can bring their dogs! Restaurant was excellent!

They put me on the noisiest floor and I didn't sleep well. Needs a "warmer" atmosphere.

Nice hotel. They really try to nickel and dime you in the rooms w/ the wet bar and other things. But, I didn't use any of those and was fine.

Nice and attractive, close to convention center.

Too many people wanted tips. I'd rather park my own car.

If you want to treat yourself while in San Diego, this is the place to stay. I was wowed by the decor as soon as I entered the lobby - modern, funky and inviting. Staff were attentive and witty and made us feel welcomed immediately. The hotel is located right in the gaslight district, steps from the city's best dining and shopping. I barely discovered this, as I was seduced by the gorgeous rooftop pool area and the complimentary wine hour at 5.

Their 235 rooms and suites are spacious and come with top quality linens, down bed covers, large comfortable beds and pillows. The decor is an inviting aqua and chocolate brown. The highlight for me was the bathrobes. Not just any bathrobes, but animal print terry cloth! I wore a leopard print while my friend snagged the zebra. Rooms also come with a desk and ergonomic mesh swivel chair, flat screen tv with CD/DVD player and a coffee maker.
