Best Western Americana Inn in San Diego California

Although we've stayed here before,and you can't beat the price, I was extremely upset to see the bed sheets appeared to have stains, found a hair on the pillow, and when I was sitting on the bed the next morning there was a bed bug crawling accross the bed, I was afraid to look any further

The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were nice and clean. We requested a smoking, when we went into our room, it was a non smoking, called and changed our rooms immediatly even though it was 2am. We didn't have a remote for the tv in out room, we called and one was brought up in less then 3 minutes. Close to food and gas stations. The pool WAS heated and the spa was working. All in all a very good hotel!! I will definitly stay there againi!!

Rooms are clean but old, no bugs. Near Mexican border but no problems. Safe area. Has a Coco's and Carl's Jr. restaurant beside hotel and an AM PM store. Staff is rude. Not a smile or a hello the 5 days we were there. Although advertised, no microwave in the room, no continential breakfast. So don't make any plans concerning either of them. (We did, were disappointed) That being said, you can't beat the price. It's clean, the TV, air conditioning, water pressure is good, has iron/board,hair dryer, fridge. We will stay again.
