Customer Reviews for Holiday Inn Bayside

Holiday Inn Bayside - posted on 06/02/2007

I was pleasantly surprised by many of the ammenities - pool, putting green, gym, on site restaurant and bar. I was disappointed to find out I was on the second floor and there was no elevator. Sure glad no one in my party had a problem climbing stairs.

Kinda pricey for what you get - posted on 08/29/2006

Place is clean, but kind of old looking. Otherwise, location is great. Plus grocery store and plenty of fast food restaurants very close by one block behind hotel on Rosecrans street.

Great Stay - posted on 08/09/2006

This was a great place to stay here in San Diego. It was convenient to Sea World and Downtown San Diego. The facilities and rooms very clean and well kept. Staff was very helpful in finding ATM's, directions to local attractions. They even printed out directions/maps for us. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms were small - posted on 07/21/2006

The rooms were very small, toilet did not flush without holding the handle, the beds were hard, uncomfortable and small. I had a hard time falling alseep. I liked the putt, putt golf, and the pool was great. We had a great view of both from our balcony. Thought it was pricey for an older building. It does not look like the pictures on the internet.

great hotel - posted on 04/19/2006

Excellent location, short drive to many attractions. Good service, friendly staff, restaurant food was very, very good! Hotel and restaurant show signs of age, but both are fastidiously clean. Only complaint - how do you have a hotel with room service, and no table in the room! And no options for borrowing one!! We left laptop and jewelry in room, with no problems at all. Highly recommended.

Holiday Inn Bayside, San Diego - Good place! - posted on 04/18/2006

The hotel was good, the pool great! The amenities were very good. Staff was nice and attentive to our needs. Don't go to the Cafe though! Prices, food, and the staff were bad.

Very Nice Indeed - posted on 03/09/2006

We stayed here for a conference held in the hotel. It is not inexpensive, but one did get good value for the money. The room was incredibly quiet. The view from the fifth floor, facing the bay, is wonderful. Avoid the convenience store in the lobby as the prices are very high. There is a shopping and restaurant area within a block or two's walk.

I've had better - posted on 05/24/2005

This was a nice hotel but the location was far away from the beaches. This is not a good hotel for those just visiting and wanting to see the sites but would be great if you are visiting people at the military base. All in all it was rather disappointing. We were expecting there to be more San Diego sites close by the Hotel. Also the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling. The rooms were more motel like.

Fun - posted on 04/20/2005

The employees of this hotel were great. Very helpful and friendly. A little disappointed in the location; too far away from the bay area. Had to drive there; not close enough to walk.

Sunny San Diego - posted on 04/15/2005

Have stayed at this hotel and several occasions and have not been disappointed. It is close to many attractions and the front desk staff have been helpful with helping with getting transportation arranged etc. I like the fact that it is minutes away from the airport and that the hotel has a shuttle available. Rooms are nice and clean. Have stayed in rooms on 3rd and 4th floor and they are nice.

Great Buy - posted on 03/29/2005

Truly excellent place to stay for the price. The location is great, very close to the main San Diego Airport, Maritime museum, bayside restaurants, Cabrillo National monument, Mission beach, Seaworld, and the SD zoo. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Workout room is OK. Hotel also has a descent restaurant/bar, nice pool, miniture golf course, ping-pong. Some buildings have been newly renovated. Daily newspaper delivered to your room door on weekdays. The only thing missing was a complimentary breakfast.

Easy Does it - posted on 03/20/2005

This is a nice hotel to stay if you are in business. Accomodation was excellent. Always ask for room from 3rd and above as the view is better. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable.
