Nice hotel, great location - posted on 08/20/2006

Was very happy with this hotel. Was very clean and the staff was very nice. Their restaurant was very good, had breakfast twice and brunch once. Try their tortilla soup. The pool was very nice especially with the fitness room overlooking the pool area. Perfect amenities for families and location is central.

Non-smoking - posted on 10/31/2005

We reserved a non-smoking room a month in advance . The first night we were in a smoking room, got in late, so we stayed. In the morning I was told, they do not guarantee non-smoking rooms. After I said that this was booked a month prior, I did get a non-smoking room. That is my only complaint.

Highly Recommended - posted on 08/22/2005

This hotel was great to use as a base for seeing all the sights in San Diego. The rooms are a little small but for the little bit of time you spend in them, they're fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cafe was excellent. Pool was great. Great location.

Good for Price - posted on 06/07/2005

This was a decent hotel. Very friendly front desk staff. Fairly clean but it is an older hotel. Rooms very small but if you are just staying the night it is fine. VERY nice pool area- two spas even! Not good for a long stay but great for affordable overnight!

Do Not Stay Here!!!! - posted on 06/04/2004

The hotel restaurant had diner quality food at a 4 star restaurant price. The room was ok, but the shower kept running out of hot water. The television only got local channels plus HBO and The Weather Channel and TNT. I live in San Diego and needed a room while some work was being done on my house. We spent most of the time flipping through channels trying to find something to watch. On the plus side, they do have a small fitness center but 2 of the machines were broken. They also have a nice pool and 2 hot tubs, one of which is for adults only and is open most of the night. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in, although the headboard was broken and just propped up against the wall and it was cracked. I wouldn't stay here again. It isn't worth the price. Shell out $10-20 more per night and stay in a much nicer place.
