This is a great hotel - large, comfortable room, free high speed internet, great breakfast in the morning, very helpful staff, and terrific experience. I had booked a 3 star - and got the Red Lion, which was in such bad condition that after showing me 3 rooms with problems. They said I might get the same hotel if I did it again - but I choose 2 1/2 stars and got this wonderful Holiday Inn. Red Lion doesn't give breakfast, is dirty, run down, really inferior in many ways. Why that one has 3 stars and this one only has 2 1/2, I don't know. This Holiday Inn is clearly very superior. I would stay there again.

Excellent breakfast; Very helpful and friendly staff, nice room.

Needed an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet - liked that it is free.

This hotel did not allow smoking so my wife had to go down 3 floors and outside to smoke.

Room and facility was very clean and nice.

Exercise room-no fan, no TV.

The 230-room Holiday Inn Sacramento Northeast is located off I-80 between downtown Sacramento and Roseville and provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. Items included in the room rate at this six-story, non-smoking hotel are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, in-room tea and coffee and parking. The property is a 15-minute drive from the Sacramento International Airport and six miles from Cal Expo. There are seven rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 900 guests. The hotel is a short drive from the McClellan Business Park and the Natomas Business Park. This is a popular hotel with business travelers to Sacramento. The location is good, close to business parks, and the prices are reasonable for a full-service hotel. Earlier complains about the accommodation being dated have stopped now that the property has completed a major renovation. The efficient and friendly team of employees is appreciated for its efforts and many clients enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool which is open year-round.
