Customer Reviews for Best Western Sutter House

Okay for a business trip - posted on 12/11/2006

The hotel is close to the conference I was going to so it was nice that I could walk. It is in an obscure area and was a little hard to find. There are not enough plugs in the room. The bathroom light only stays on for 15 minutes which was a little annoying. Counter space was small as well. They were renovating so it was kind of messy and things looked out of place.

a surprise - posted on 09/27/2006

Motel is almost "hidden" in the city block. Once inside, it seems secluded and quite private from the city hub-bub, with pool on 2nd floor which I really liked. Breakfast not much -- coffee, pastries, juice, fruit, and no place to eat in the tiny reception area. Great central downtown location, free wifi and Kinko's business center two blocks away. Free parking. I'd stay again. We had 1Q bed.

Good and Bad - posted on 08/06/2006

When we first arrived, we waited over ten minutes for the desk clerk to check us in. The good was the rooms were very nice and beds extremely comfortable with very nice bedding. Otherwise, the pool was freezing, and the "complimentary" breakfast was all pastries and hardly any beverages. There were no microwaves available to use and no fridges in the rooms.

Welcome - posted on 05/01/2006

Was welcomed in a friendly manner and provided with information about their morning convenience food in the lobby. Room was comfortable and clean.

OK if you don't mind dirt - posted on 04/17/2005

The elevator and hallways were just plain filthy. Upon entering the room the musty smell of old ducted air is the first thing you notice. The final straw was getting a wakeup call at 5 a.m. that I didn't ask for. When I complained, the front desk clerk just shrugged.
