I would recommend this hotel. It is by a shopping mall and a short walk to old town Sacramento. The grill had great food, friendly staff and a great price. Just out the side door is a walk way to the mall and an arch way to old town. The room was very nice and staff too.

Nice room, great location and great food at a good price.

The TV. Was not in the middle of the bed for viewing by two.

Beautiful decor throughout with clean room and firm beds. The pool was a bit boring though. Your basic rectangle. The shower drain was clogged. Mentioned to staff, said they would take care if it before my evening shower but failed to do so. Other than that, I would visit this hotel again.

Upscale, beautiful decor. Pleasant wall colors.

Tub drain was badly clogged. Staff said they would take care of it but did not.

The Sacramento Holiday Inn, Capital Plaza, is the most centrally located hotel in downtown Sacramento. It is immediately adjacent to Old Town Sacramento to the west and Downtown Plaza to the east. Sacramento Holiday Inn, Capital Plaza is so convenient that you may never need to travel other than by foot. Driving is made easy though with an excellent parking structure next to the hotel and the entrance Interstate 5 across the street. Whether you are here for pleasure or business the Sacramento Holiday Inn, Capital Plaza, has the amenities to make your stay in our City, very pleasant and well-located.

The Sacramento Holiday Inn, Capital Plaza, completed a multi-million dollar renovation in 2005 and the hotel and its rooms are just beautiful. Each of the rooms has large picture windows that showcase a wonderful view of our city. The rooms are available as standard double or king bedrooms, executive level rooms and suites. All rooms include full TV entertainment systems, both wired and wireless Internet access, coffee & tea makers and a morning newspaper every day. For the business traveler there is a great workspace with desk, two phone lines & outlets and great lighting.

The Capital Plaza Holiday Inn offers great amenities for the business or vacation traveler. First, there is an outdoor pool with plenty of chairs, tables and loungers. Inside there is a nice size health club with all the latest aerobic equipment. In the lobby there is a newsstand, gift shop and the best part, FREE Wireless Internet! The Business Center offers multiple PCs with Internet access, printers, fax service and photocopying. Secretarial service are also available. The hotel has its own restaurant, The Cyprus Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Because of its proximity to so many downtown Sacramento restaurants, shops and attractions, the Capital Plaza Holiday Inn is the perfect destination. When you figure the newly remodeled hotel itself with all its amenities, the decision is an easy one. While you are there, check out some of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento. To the west, through the tunnel below I-5 is Fats Restaurant and the Rio City Café in Old Town Sacramento. To the east in Downtown Plaza is the River City Brewing Company and the Hard Rock Café. All four are within walking distance and are suitable for business or pleasure.
