Customer Reviews for Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs

HYATT IS AWESOME - posted on 01/19/2006

For anyone looking for a reasonably priced centrally located hotel in Palm Springs, the Hyatt Suites is your place. Interior decor can use some updating but the staff is polite, rooms clean and spacious and the views spectacular. The bars, restaurants and casino are all within easy walking distance.

Nice Hotel, Friendly Service - posted on 11/09/2006

The room was clean, the hotel is centrally located. The service was excellent, especially at the front desk. The only hitch was that they could not provide a microwave when we wanted to heat up some leftovers.

Good value for the money - posted on 11/08/2006

Prime location for walking through the older part of town, nice places to eat close by. Staff was friendly and helpful, changed our room upon request, and gave great directions to local attractions.

Nice stay - posted on 05/09/2006

Overall, it was a nice stay. The rooms were average but the furniture on the balcony was ripped and in poor shape. I would stay there again as it was very centrally located in downtown Palm Springs.

I will never stay there again - posted on 01/22/2006

They mishandled our reservation from the outset. The room was not ready when promised. It was not what we reserved, and the rate was different than quoted. At 2:00 a.m., the manager brought 2 policemen and knocked on our door to say that someone reported garbage being thrown from a balcony that faced the street. It obviously was not us as we are 3 middle aged women, a mother and two daughters. However, it was very upsetting to be woken up in that matter

Great rooms, great location! - posted on 01/03/2006

We had a moutain view room which was great! The suite itself was spacious and featured a very nice large bathroom and a balcony with a beautiful view. The beds were clean and very comfortable. There is also a fridge which came in handy during our entire stay. The location of the hotel is right downtown, convenient to everything from shopping to all levels of dining to dancing ( Zeldaz nightclub! ) to the casino. I did not make use of any dining at the hotel so I cannot comment on that. There is a bar in the front area of the hotel (outdoors) which featured good music.

Great hotel for "park and walk". - posted on 12/19/2005

Little bit older hotel that still "sparkles". Large guest suites, tastefully decorated, with nice balcony views of mountains, and golf course, across the street. My wife and I enjoy parking the car and walking downtown Palm Springs. The Thursday night street celebration is reminiscent of the busy P.S. of yesteryear. It shouldn't be missed. We've stayed at the more expensive and glitzy "outer suburb hotels", but the change of pace offered by the "park and walk", Hyatt Regency Suites, still appeals.

Not a 4 star !!! - posted on 10/02/2005

The rooms are old, beds lumpy, pillows hard. When I made my reservations on the phone I asked if they took AAA discount and they said NO. When I checked in I asked again and they said YES but you have to set it up on the phone when you make the reservation. They still would not give it to me. The people that took the reservation have no idea what the rooms look like, they just read from a paper. I reserved 2 rooms adjoining with two beds in it, there were only one bed inside each. They fail to tell you that you must pay for overnight parking which is $14. The baggage and valet guys were nice.

Very disappointing - posted on 06/20/2005

Our reservation was totally mishandled. I booked double beds w/mountain view, but they only had a king upon check in. At 4:00pm our room was not ready yet. When we complained about the delay and mixup, the clerk said he had a 2 queen room available now. However, when we entered it was a king on the noisy street. It was also $30. more than quoted by hotelsbycity. At 11:30 pm, we were awakened by knocking at our door to find 4 policemen and a hotel employee inquiring if we were throwing things over our balcony. When they realized they had awakened 2 middle-aged women and their mother, they apologized, but they scared my 77 year old mother. None of us would stay there again.

Not up to Hyatt standards - posted on 04/04/2005

The rooms were a good size but needed to be updated and cleaned better. Pool was nice. Great view from the room. Front desk tried to give us a king bed for the 3 of us.
