About the Portofino Beach Hotel Newport Beach

Guests will enjoy their stay at the Portofino Beach Hotel, Newport Beach's only hotel located on the boardwalk. The hotel is steps from the surf and sand. The waves here are great for surfing or bodyboarding. Should one prefer to stay dry guests can either walk the boardwalk, rent a bicycle from a shop down the strand or put on a pair of blades. The hotel is within minutes of the Balboa Pier, home to many fishermen, and Ruby's Diner. This is the perfect place to be to watch the sunset. Across the street is the Balboa Fun Zone and the Balboa Ferry a Newport Beach icon. The area has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. For those that want to Hang Ten, there are numerous surf and bathing suit shops. For those that want to travel further, the Catalina Flyer can be found at the Balboa Fun Zone ready to whisk guests off to Catalina Island.

The hotel is right on the boardwalk which is a definite plus. Visitors to the hotel have the beach at their front door. If you enjoy partying there are numerous bars in the vicinity. The downside to this is the hotel is not quiet. Guests have complained about the noise. The rooms are cute and clean, but many of the rooms have very small windows and skylights to let in the light. The hotel has 15 beach front cottage rooms. Guests can have dinner at the the hotel restaurant. There are plenty of other restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel has a breakfast area that serves muffins and fruit. The hotel concierge will assist guest with all their needs to make their stay memorable.

The hotel has 15 luxuriously decorated rooms that will enable guests to relax while they are at the beach. Guests will enjoy soaking in the jacuzzi tubs. All the rooms have complimentary hi speed internet access. Should guests want to watch TV while they are at the beach, they will enjoy the 32 inch premium flat panel televisions in the room. The rooms have an extra sitting area where guests can relax or enjoy a glass of wine. Guests will enjoy waking up to a complimentary newspaper and in room Diedtrich coffee.
