It was convenient to freeways but no where near any of the attractions of southern California. I would have also liked to be able to walk to places for dinner and drinks instead of having to drive everywhere.

Friendly staff and I loved having a balcony even though it overlooked a parking lot.

Out dated decor and having to pay for parking.

Great hotel. Wonderful staff that was so helpful and friendly. Plenty of towels around the wonderful pool. Lots of places to sit shaded and keep an eye on the kids while they played in the pool/sun. Expect, however, to (over) pay for all amenities like internet and parking.

Fabulous staff. First rate all the way.

Pay for daily for the internet and $15.00 a day for parking.

The Marriott Newport Beach Bayview hotel is a great hotel for anyone that wants to be centrally located and have access to an outdoor area for cycling, walking or running. The hotel overlooks the Back Bay, a beautiful estuary with walking trails. Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza with their upscale boutiques are restaurants are an easy 5 and 10 minute drive away. The hotel is about 5 minutes from John Wayne Airport. Newport Beaches' beautiful coastline is only a 10 minute drive. For those that enjoy a celebration of the arts, a visit to Laguna Beach is a must. In the summertime the Sawdust Festival brings together a collection of artists. In town there are many galleries and shops. The Performing Arts Center and South Coast Repertory are closeby next to South Coast Plaza. The area boasts many fine dining options.

The hotel is a good bargain for your money. It is centrally located yet tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's proximity to the Back Bay is a definite bonus. The hotel is very comfortable and well maintained. The bedding is comfortable and the service is what one expects from a Marriott hotel.
