About the Balboa Bay Club & Resort

The Balboa Bay Club and Resort is an upscale resort on Pacific Coast Highway overlooking Newport Beach's bay. Visitors to the hotel will find the Newport Beach area rich with a plethora of of activities. The area boasts two upscale shopping centers, Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza. On a sunny day Fashion Island is the perfect outdoor mall to go shopping at with it's koi fish pond and numerous fountains that will entertain both children and your pets. South Coast Plaza is home to many upscale designers and brand names. Balboa Island is a five minute drive from the hotel. Guests can walk the boardwalk around the island, admiring the many beautifully landscaped gardens. From here you can take a ferry across to the fun zone and dip your feet in the ocean. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. Disneyland is only 14 miles away.

Guests have indicated this is a wonderful place for couples, families and honeymooners. You need to have a car if you are staying at the hotel as it is not within walking distance to any of the area's activities and attractions. The rooms are quite spacious and quiet. One guest indicated the bed was so comfortable they did not want to get out of bed. I am not sure if this is quite a five star hotel for the money they charge, however it is a great place to spend a week or weekend. Read our customer reviews?

Balboa Bay Club & Resort Accommodations

The hotel offers guests a selection of guest rooms and suites set in an Italian villa ambiance. All rooms enjoy their own private veranda where guests can enjoy the cool ocean breezes on a warm summer night. The rooms give guests a choice of a king, two queens or two double beds. Adjoining rooms are available. The bathrooms are elegantly decorated with marble counter tops and deep soaking tubs.

The hotel has 132 spacious guest rooms and suites. High speed internet access is available throughout the hotel. For those that are looking for an amazing pool scene, the hotel has a beautiful heated outdoor pool with hydra spa. Guests can treat themselves to a day at the hotel spa. There is a beautiful restaurant with an extensive wine list and fresh seafood selections and bar overlooking the water. The bar has nightly entertainment. Room service is always available. Guests looking for a special way to spend an afternoon or evening can have the hotel arrange for a gondola ride around the harbor.

From The North : Take Route 5 or 405 South to 55. Follow south on the 55 to Coast Highway. Proceed southbound on Coast Highway to the resort. From The South : Take Route 5 to 405 North, then exit on Jamboree. Follow Jamboree south to Coast Highway. Turn right on Coast Highway to the resort.
